TESTIMONIAL - Ms. ASHWINI OGALE
INDO – GERMAN TRAINING CENTRE, Bangalore Best Performer - Batch 2008-2010
I still vividly recall my very first day at the newly formed INDO-GERMAN TRAINING CENTRE in Bangalore on the 1st of September 2008. With mixed feelings ranging from exhilaration to apprehensiveness a group of 23 students walked inside the classroom with no bit of familiarity with each other apart from a few “Hellos” that echoed the Classroom. With a sharp contrast from what I went through on the first day at IGTC, today I see myself as a completely different person over a period of 2 years. The level of self-confidence, composure and endurance that has developed over a period of 18 months is perceptible.
Being the very first batch at IGTC Bangalore, after being established in Mumbai and Chennai over a period of 19 years and 5 years respectively, there was a special feeling and significance that was bestowed upon us by the Institute as well as the Chamber of Commerce.
The 18 months spent at the Centre were a combination of fun, learning and classroom knowledge teamed up with practical trainings at Partnering German Companies. The amount of exposure, especially for me, being a fresher was tremendous.
The Institute was frequented by highly qualified Faculty members as well as Visiting Faculty members from a wide spectrum of Industrial and Managerial areas. The valuable inputs received from these highly experienced Managers go a long way in motivating the young upcoming managers to work harder and perform better!
My experiential learning opportunity with my assigned training Company, G.W Precision Tools India Pvt. Ltd, where I spent the most valuable 6 months of the Course, gave me an opportunity to handle a wide range of projects on Demand Analysis, Duty Drawback, Export Promotion Capital Goods scheme, Jobbing and Inventory Management, Direct Marketing. Additionally, the exposure at renowned Trade Fairs where I was deputed to work for my training company i.e. at IMTEX 2009 ( South and South East Asia’s Largest Machine Tool Technology Trade Fair) and Die Mould 2010 (The largest International Exhibition held in India which provides opportunities for business in the tooling industry) gave me a chance to demonstrate my capabilities as well as apply whatever I learnt in the classroom in real – life Corporate Situations.
During my last 2 months at the Institute, I got an opportunity to work with Prion India, my current employer, as a part time Management trainee. The varied job responsibilities at Prion gave me an insight into the German Business Culture.
The 18 months spent at IGTC were unique and valuable to me. Being from a German Language background, the Course allowed me to remain in touch with the language as well as garner knowledge on the German Culture and Business Etiquettes. I am thankful to all the Members as well as the Staff at IGTC and the IGCC. I wish them the very best for their future endeavors!
