The Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC) Kolkata has started its Post Graduate Programme in Business Administration for their second batch, 2011-13, on 4th August 2011 at the Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata.
Mr Rainer Schmiedchen, Consul General, German Consulate of Kolkata, Dr Reimar Volker, Director, Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata, Mr I. Sen, Chairman, Eastern Regional Council and Mr B.G. Roy, Regional Director, IGCC Kolkata welcomed the students. The welcome was followed by the induction lecture of Mr Bernhard Steinruecke, Director General IGCC Mumbai, who had arrived all the way from Mumbai to give a good start to the students on their first day at IGTC. Mr Steinruecke elaborated on the activities of IGCC and how the IGTC students and alumni are involved. He also gave an overview of the Indian economy and Indo-German trade, showcasing why German companies are so keen to invest here. The highlight of his session was a well appreciated 3-minute crash course in German language!
Ms Sabina Pandey, Director IGTC Kolkata, concluded the morning with a vote of thanks, dedicated to all guests, faculty members and IGCC member companies who provide training and guidance to the students in order to become successful individuals and managers.
